Beyond the Day by Day: Five Tips Toward Taking Your
Productivity Weekly
One of the first things most productive people learn to do is plan their work, usually by tracking daily tasks on a to-do list. I think of this as a "HIT list," as it should consist mostly of the High-Impact Tasks that yield your greatest productivity. Most individuals and teams also develop "NOT to-do" lists: collections of tasks we refuse to waste our time on. Not to-do lists can be taught, but more often derive from personal experience. While "NOT
to-dos" can be annoying and seem like a total, infuriating waste of time when they occur, the time you lose initially is more than made up for when you refuse to do ever doing those things again.
Announcing the Publication of Laura Stack's 8th Book! FASTER TOGETHER: Accelerating Your Team’s
Productivity
There are more roadblocks to productivity today than ever before. Everyone who works deals with countless emails, constant communication, cascading deadlines, and seemingly endless meetings. These can be managed efficiently, or they can be a huge time suck. When you’re surrounded by slow-moving co-workers, you’re stuck in a traffic
jam of sorts. What makes the difference isn’t individuals working harder or faster or smarter, but “teaming well.”
As a Hall of Fame speaker
and bestselling author of 47 books, Dianna Booher works with organizations to communicate clearly and with leaders to expand their influence by a strong personal presence. Her latest books include Communicate Like a Leader, What MORE Can I Say, and Creating Personal Presence. National media such as Good Morning America, USA Today, WSJ, Forbes, CNN, Fast Company, Bloomberg, Success, and Entrepreneur frequently interview her on critical workplace communication issues. Richtopia has named her at
#54 on its 2017 list of “Top 200 Most Influential Authors in the World.”
Personal presence may be difficult to define, but we all know when
we see it. Someone walks into a room and heads turn. Conversation opens up to include them. Their words and opinions have positive impact. The question is, how do others perceive you? Credible? Competent? Authentic? How do you respond to someone citing data with which you’re unfamiliar? How do you respond to difficult questions? How persuasive are you in selling ideas? In this program, you’ll increase selfawareness in key areas, learn to think on your feet under pressure, set yourself apart as a
strategic thinker, handle tough questions with credibility, evaluate your body language, and build rapport with people at all levels.
