BIG NEWS! Laura Stack was just inducted into the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame, the highest speaking award given by the National Speakers Association, bestowed to only five people each year worldwide. The CPAE (Council of Peers Award for Excellence) is the prestigious lifetime award for speaking excellence and professionalism. Other inductees include Ronald Reagan, General Colin Powell, and Laura’s hero, Zig Ziglar. Globally, there are fewer than 175 people in the Speaker Hall of Fame (and fewer than 50 are women). In addition to Laura, the 2015 inductees included Jeffrey Hayzlett, Simon T. Bailey, Stephen Shapiro, and Walter Bond.
Inductees are evaluated by their peers through a rigorous and demanding process. Each candidate must excel in seven categories: material, style, experience, delivery, image, professionalism and communication. The award is not based on celebrity status, number of speeches, amount of income or volunteer involvement in NSA. Laura now adds the designation CPAE (Council of Peers Award of Excellence) to her credentials.
